Tumultious Conclusion
Rolling green hills set ablaze by a copper sun. Rolling away from me as I walk on what I can only imagine are clouds, my feet brushing through them as I behold the hills form a more and more perfect curvature - as if the world is wrapping itself around a marble.
I lean back, allowing my face to be kissed by the sun. Embracing even, as I am filled with the copper light. So very warm, a soothing nothingness that knows only the allegiance of it's own warmth. My arms are awash with a chill, as I try to grip, my hands wrap around two rods of ice that have flanked my core.
My hands become part of the rods, turning to ice that spiders up my arms, accompanied by a deafening hiss that grows louder as the ice creeps up my neck and into my cheeks, before I can feel my eyes itch with the chill of frost.
Where am I? I open my eyes to see a large silver lamp meeting my eyes with a solemn yellow light. As my eyes adjust I notice in my peripheral vision that my hands have become affixed to two metal rods that are the handles of what seems to be a bed; I force my neck muscles to let me move my head to look around, and I realize I am in some sort of pod... A stasis pod, who's shield that sealed me in slumber has been lifted.
The feeling in my arms is starting to come back, and I can feel more than just the cold of those steel handles. How long have I been asleep?

Excimer stood on the fringe of the station, staring far off into the horizon, with the planet rotating away from him below. He could feel himself drifting away to a peaceful nothing.
