My goal is to be married with kids, and a bestselling author. All my problems will not go away with the achievement of this goal. Dream making is a continual process. It doesn't stop because life is not perfect, nor will it ever be. It can be a better translation of our dreams, but our live's will never be perfect, and for that we will always try to make it better.
This is the purpose of conflict. This is the purpose of growth. To make us better people. We learn the things we need to learn to be happier people.
A co worker once said that living should be cheap, everybody should get what they want and it would all be a better world. But it won't be. We need conflict to teach us, we need conflict to not be bored. We need conflict to be better people.
I wish I was rich, but I am not.
I wish I saw more married happy people, but I didn't.
Instead I am going to have to learn how to pave the way for this to happen. And the journey will be a fun one, and when I reach my goal I can look back on what I once was and smile at how naive I was then. But it won't matter because I won't be like that anymore.
We are all learning how to be dream makers.
