Flashbulb Memories
He was driving home from another day of work. He had forgotten CD's or his input cable for his iPod. So he was forced to listen to the radio. There were a couple of good tracks and he was already feeling very central Albertan anyway becuase of the truck he had borrowed from his parents so a little Nickleback couldn't kill him. An add came on the radio describing the latest online dating website and how it could evidently find the perfect girl for him. He mused vaugly about what exactky he could put as his "looking for" information. Wanted: One female, beautiful, full of piss and vinegar, instrested in Indie Rock and musicals. Loves taking in theatre and partying hard. Accepts extreme, emotion-preventing depression. Will be ok when I pretend to sleep so I don't have to lie and say, "I love you" on more time. Likes cats. Enjoys being emotionally insulted and abused constantly. Intellecual superior but endlessly fascinated by my banal psdueo-intellecualism. Sexually explorative. Has a good drug connection in the city. Spontaneus. Loves the outdoors and camping. Is attracted to moody emotionally detached men. Has an Electra complex. Nice tits. It seemed overly cynical to think that you could say, "I want X." and hope the person wants X as well. He disliked the idea that you could match people up like that and moreover that people could be happy matched up like that but he supposed the people were or else it wouldn't be the booming business that it was. He hated this idea. More then that he hated the fact that once and a while people fell in love that way. In fact, if the numbers were to be believed quiet often. The fact that stupid people leading the stupid infantile lives could find true love on a dating website and he couldn't even finish having sex with a women before begining to dispise her. He knew not all women could be like this, he didn't beleive he was doomed to walk the earth alone forever but it was frustrating in it's insencerity.
