FOR A FILM
The right audio channel is filled with a constant, distorted screeching, droning out anything else that might be heard, and shortly after the film cuts off. The video lasts for six minutes, twenty three seconds, and follows the tire swing as its momentum carries it through three hundred and four swings. It is recorded on 45mm film, at a rate of 14 frames a second. It is one of many similarly styled films, all having been recorded with the same camera, and all lasting exactly six minutes and thirty three point two seconds.
A majority of these films are comprised primarily of steady shots of blackness, accompanied by arbitrarily placed computer-generated tones of variable pitch and length. Each film is notable for its unique voyeuristic properties, as the only dialog are over-heard conversations, and it is often made known that the subject of any of the recordings is in its natural state.
