Today I wish to ramble on about what I should name my book. It seems ludicrous for me to embark on such a monumental seming task but the goal here is actually quite simple. According to Jeffrey Gitomer in order to blog you ideally ned to do so in the form of a book so that at some point you have a useful product. So with that in mind I need to create a title and a subtitle for a book that I am to write. Once that is decided then I need to create a table of contents. This will give structure and direction to my writing.
My goals in writing on the are hazy at best and I'm not even sure I fully comprehend the need for the blog other than as a vehicle to improve Seo value for the website. The overall worth of this is the assumed connection with my market base in an open type of forum to improve the publics trust and familiarity with Captured Moments. The conventional wisdom is that I am supposed to blog about how to take pictures but I just don't see that as being relevant to my client base. I do however think this will be of interest to the students in my photography classes.
Todd and I have discussed this topic and we decided that the blogging of stories about photography and how portraits impact the clients and why those clients were having portraits done. That would be the subtext of everything I do, I can definitely go into some detail about how I do what I do.
One track definitely revolves around the use of pullbacks, this will defitelt evolve into a book, 101 awesome photographic pullbacks. So that,s one topic.
Susan's articles are another topic and the third topic to explore are the "studio stories". One other track would be the introduction to snapshotology. So there are 4 things to blog about. The other traditional topic would be camera news, tips and deals.
It is definitely time to start producing some remarkable content..
