It took a good 5 hours for the "Doc" to regain consciousness. I couldn't help but call him that, he reminded me too much of Doc from Back to the Future, albeit a malnourished version. In that time I drank 2 cups of tea, 4 cups of coffee, ate a few more rice cakes till my stomach settled, then a grilled cheese, opened and subsequently shoved into a back drawer bills for the month. I'd have loved to paid them, but that just wasn't going to happen with my current financial situation. Fred took a much more relaxed day, and slept on my bed.
The Doc woke up with a weird snorting gasp thing, that made me think he was having a stroke, and caused Fred to stop dreaming about rabbits and fields. The Doc looked around him, seemed confused that he was on the floor, or at least not on a floor he recognized, and shoved his glasses on his face and sat up, wiping the drool from his cheek.

Definitely going to play this cool, I decided, I was going to project a professional demeanor. Main thinking behind that was so I could ask for more money for whatever this history teacher wanted from me. I had rent in 4 days.
"I'm sorry, I didn't get your name, Mr...?" I was very polite, hell I'd even showered and put on pants, keeping the bathroom door locked and Fred outside it. I'd have been worried about him stealing something, if I'd actually owned things worth stealing.

"Ms. Adder. I'm so sorry excuse me, she must have drugged me more strongly than I anticipated." He ran his fingers nervously through his hair.

"That's kinky and all, and I'm not one to judge, but why are you here and how do you know my name?" I was a little less polite on that one, he was an uninvited guest in my house after all.

"Oh, yes, oh I need to explain, I'd like to hire your services, I need you to find my son."
