Prompt: Write a scene where the only spoken dialogue is "Uh-huh", "Ummm", "Urrr", "Mm-mmm".
***
The more I stared at it, the more confused I felt.
"Ummm," I said.
The violent brush strokes, the vivid colours, the anger that I could feel...
"Urrr...." I began to said something, but all I made were sounds.
My friend glanced at it, then at me.
"Uh-huh," she nodded.
Blue, green, purple, red...it seemed that every colour on the canvas was made out of anger. The distorted woman with terrible shaped limbs stared back.
"Mm-mmm," was all I could say.
De Kooning must have had a lot of hatred towards women, because it certainly showed through his artwork!
