looking like I had just stabbed him in the chest with a slide rule.
"I'v been working on that equasion for the last ten years and just succeded yesterday in working out the answere!"
"We must go back to the exact spot wher you saw the crack in the sidewalk and if my calculations are right at exactly 13:42 hours something remarkable will happen."
"What?" I said.
"I have no ideea," a grim faced Charlie murmered.
So we hurried back to wher I saw the crack.
" What time is it now Charlie?"
"13:40, we got here just in time, oh my God; look."
The ground was moving just a little, I guess Charlies calculationd were slightly
off. A building that resembeled an entrance to a Subway suddenly appeared, no noise
but a distinct odor like Sulphur permiated the air.
Well...I'm thinking Bealzibub, El Diablo, Satin, the Devil but no one appeared,
no clap of thunder, no trumpets; nothing.
"Charlie, I'm going down and see if it's a new subway or train station, you
coming with me?
" What the Hell", said Charlie. What the Hell indeed, I'm thinking.
I take one step towards the entrance and out steps this "Colledge Lookin" kid.
"What's up Dude?" he said.

"My name is Gerald, I just got in from Alpha Centuri, thing are tough there
so I thought I'd try for a job her in Boston, at least you are human, not like some of the freaks on other Planets on this Blue Line Special."
"Do you think I can buy a ticket and go to Alpha Centuri on the Blue Line that
you just got of?"
