"She's suffering from post-traumatic amnesia. Hard to say if she'll remember anything before the accident.", he said, while looking at my eyes.
The look on my parents faces were grief stricken. My father gulped as my mother buried her head in his chest,
"What do you suggest we do, Doctor? Is there any way to revive her memory? Is there any chance at all that she will gain back her memories? What can we do?" he begged. The doctor ran his hand through his gray hair and sighed.
"The best thing for Juliet, I believe, would be for you to take her home. Maybe look through some photo albums? Do anything you can think of that might jog her memory."
At this point, I could not keep my mouth closed any longer.
"Who ARE you people?!" I repeated. "And who is this Juliet girl? If you are talking about me, you've got the wrong person. Juliet is NOT my name!"
The doctor looked taken aback by my outburst, and my parents were looking at me like I was some kind of killer animal, preying on them. The doctor recovered and said, "Well, what is your name then?"
That caught me off guard. My name... my name...? "My name isn't Juliet." I replied lamely.
The doctor nodded understandingly.
