Immortal Fish
It was a dark and stormy night, and it changed my life forever.

Well, a bit. Really it was a cloudy September morning, and it at least taught me a lesson. Finally, school teaches me something. Who would have thought?

I went to pick up my schedule, about a week before school started. After handing over the required paperwork - emergency form, list of textbooks (all turned in), survey - I walked out with a crisp manilla envelope and the usual back-to-school paper wastes. Why they feel the need to send out a new handbook every year I'll never know.

By no means was I excited for school. But once I've been tempted with the schedule and the chance to ease my anxiety that (pleasegodnoplease) I've gotten Mr. So-and-So for Whatsit Class. So immediately after I left the lobby I tore into my little packet and dug out the pale yellow sheet that would tell whether I awaited the school year with dread or... well, more dread, I guess.

And that was when I found out. Everything seemed in order, tedious math, disappointing history, predictable english...

And then I saw.

I
Had
Drama
Class.
