Okay. So I'm typing. Cool.
I have a book I want to write. I haven't thought about publishing it because, first, I'll actually have to complete the story. I don't want to get ahead of myself, you see. If I had to estimate, it'd probably appeal to people between the ages of 12-16. I dunno, I like writing about middle schoolers. Things are fucked up then, and anything's believable. It's the horrible melting pot of people of all different maturity levels all forced to memorize what volcanoes do and talk about why you should/shouldn't touch yourself, depending on where you live.
I haven't actually roughly outlined my story though. So here's what's happening: My narrator is a fat exiled kid that sees the world very sarcastically and as a threat. But he loves his friends, or at least he thinks he loves his friends. It's a very coming-to-age tale, how Zach,I think his name is, discovers who he is by interactions with his 2 best friends: Sam and Dan. They both basically ditch and ignore Zach when this new Hawaiian babe, Launi, shows up. Launi is probably one of the best characters I've ever created because I want to make it clear that she's misunderstood. She's loud, vibrant, and a rebel, yet still very likable. She's the ultimate foil of Zach, so he instantly hates her. But, of course, Dan and Sam both try to fuck her. I think they both do, ultimately, because Launi is a bi sexual girl of loose "Midwestern out-of-date dating morals." While Launi is busy gettin' busy with Zach's friends, she's trying really hard to treat Zach nicely. This makes it even harder for him to hate her. She really likes talking to him and is trying to convince him to start running. He does, actually, just to prove to her he can't do it. So naturally, Zach starts losing weight. People notice and he just rolls with it. So the role reverses, he forgets about his friends after he feels like they have forgotten about him.
Then, while things are changing, Dan's parents have to "move away," the underlining problem is that his parents are drug dealers, but I'll be sure to tip toe around that and not fully adress it, and Sam is arrested/sent away for continuing her fighting. Zach deals with this by blaming Launi for showing up, whom he's in a social circle with. Then they fight and I'm not sure what to do after that.
