Sometimes we make a decision and it affect everything in our life
We say that it was for the best that we ended it
The person is better off without us.
For that reason we give it is true
The person moves on and forgets about us
They fall in love with another and we are left with the tears.
The break up leaves us broken
Our hearts are the ones that don't get fixed
and we feel utterly alone.
As we go through this we begin the blame game
It's because of my childhood
It's because of my parents
It's because of him or her
It's this persons fault
not mine!
That's the lie there.
Us letting go of that person
the one we loved
the one that treated us as if we were the sun itself
That was our decision.
Our parents didn't make it for us.
Our Childhood?
Yes, it may have played a part, but it was US who let it influence us
It was our childhood. WAS not IS.
There's no one we can blame, but ourselves.
We made that decision and we now face a consequence.
Yet the question that remains is
What are we going to do now?
We can let the bitterness go
Let the sadness go
and end the pity party.
Be happy that our lost one is now happy
and find our own happiness.
Learn from this experience
and open ourselves to love.
or
We can remain bitter
we can remain in the past
we can remain troubled
and never find our happiness.
I don't know about you
but I want to find open myself up to love
and find that happiness I've longed for.
