Claude was in it, the euphoria. He felt it, all of it: the earth, the sea, textures of the air. It was all here, a joy as wine. And purple with delight, Claude strode down the block.

Claude felt like his blood had been infused with electrifying citrus, with a full syrupy feeling that stretched out all of those ticks and twitches one would feel from their pursuits.
Eyes focused, as on a hunt, but without the anxiety.
Claude walked, and had been walking for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, he stopped wearing a watch years ago, he had so many other ways to tell the time now, but none of that mattered, he had a purpose.
He was going to finally divorce that lying bitch.
"Honey if they say that those 'interpersonal intimacy lectures' are necessary then- well goddamnit Karen, it's the top school in New York, and from how much the tuition's costing us, they better know what the hell they're doing! Well I don't know what the other parents are saying about it, did you think I would become more involved with those vicious, vapid vipers after you left--Shit, she hung up on me again."
"It’s alright, didn't you say she was a," Claude saunters over to his room and takes a little black notebook from his schoolbag and, after flipping through a few pages, finds a colorful quote suitable for the topic
