Walking down the hall toward my room, i see her standing by the door. her arms are crossed and she's looking forward with a vacant look in her face, telling me she's lost to the world. I could feel her before i even turned the corner of the building, yet she doesn't even realize i'm there until she hears me unlocking the door. i leave it open, already knowing why she's hear, and toss my jacket toward the empty chair of my motel room before turning around.
