Devon yelled furiously. "I'm SORRY for caring!" He shouted.
At that Jason darted to Devon and held him back and I pulled Pheobie out of the way. Devon looked at me with fire...literally..in his eyes. "This is your fault." He said, clenching his teeth.
"While I would love to take credit for it..it's actually your fault." I remarked.
With that Devon burst into flames. Pheobie stumbled back in fear.Caught up in the moment, I threw myself in front of her. I was stunned, I had never seen someone with fire be able to turn into a fire being before. Jason let go. He tried to stop Devon and get a hold of him. Holding fire isn't always the easiest thing to do though.
Devon looked at me. Although the features of his face were difficult to detect, he was undoubtedly ginning wildly. He ran towards me. I put up a force field around Pheobie and I. I turned around to see that Pheobie wasn't behind me though. I took a step forward only to find Pheobie _was_ there, she was just invisible. She grunted as we collided.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"Dont worry about it. Not like you can see that I'm here.." a wet drop fell on the ground.
"Are you okay Pheobie?" I asked as another tear fell to the ground.
"Why is he like this? He didnt used to be this way." her voice cracked a bit.
"He is full of anger and hatred for me. Jealousy has a way of doing this to- " The Force field shattered. I realized Devon had been blasting it with fire balls and furiously throwing his fist into it but I didnt think he would be able to break through that quickly.
Pheobie appeared in front of me now. She screamed and pointed quickly. I looked around just in time for Devon's firey fist connect with my face.
Everything went blurry and quiet. I heard Pheobie's distant scream. She called my name. A drop of something thick and wet trikcled down my face. I fell, hitting the ground hard. I could feel the weight and heat of Devon now on my stomach. He hit me again. And again. The thick wetness was flowing down the side of my face. One more blow and then...nothing. All was dark and quiet. I didn't feel the heat of fire. No pain. Only darkness.
