The silence had been broken and so was the gaze between the two men. "Gran Irisia! I would never leave your delicious Nehrd'Kua to burn." said Samiel as he turned to the old woman. As she approached the steaming pot she pulled up her walking stick and hit Samiel on the back with some strength "Ugh" Samiel let out almost silently. Gran Irisia pulled a strange arrangement of branches and vines closer to the pot and embers and threw some skins on it, she then sat down, "Don't act wise, young Samiel. Least not try it with me." As she lifted the lid of the pot the Nehrd'Kua's powerful aromatic vapours immediately filled the tent making Jah'Ran hum with delight at the scent, Gran continued her work approaching one hand close to the embers letting the markings on her arm visible, in a moment the heat of the embers and of the pot could be seen as a strong concentrated heat wave that quickly moves to her open palm where it becomes so highly concentrated that it turns into a small hot flame, Gran gives a sideways glance to Jah'Ran who looks intrigued. A smirk comes to her mouth as she clenches her hand into a fist dispersing the flame to nothing making the marking on her arm shine with a bright reddish hue, Jah'Ran opens his mouth in amazement and his eyes widen with a smile of contentment.
"Who the boy, Samiel? 'Ow come he does not know of Brandishing?" Gran says as she stirs the Nehrd'Kua and pours some of the white and blue liquid into a small bowl that she hands to Jah'Ran, she pours a second one for Samiel. "He says his name is Jah'Ran. I don't know where he came from, but from beyond the mist of the morn he came into the camp as he came to the world. He acts like a child." answered Samiel gesturing to Jah'Ran who began eating the Nehrd'Kua with his hands, getting them into a sticky mess "It is too cold for anyone to wander out there without any robes or Muur skins on, I thought you would recognize this Brandishing, Gran. Is this or is it not Brandishing, Gran?" Samiel asked Gran in a worried tone. "If this be Brandishing it is not any that I have seen, and I 'ave seen 'em all. Fire, Water, Air, Ground...all powerful Brandishings... but he bears no markings of Brandisher that I can see." Gran said as she sipped from her own bowl.
The three remained seated eating their Nehrd'Kua as Samiel and Gran were deep in thought.
"Take him to the ceremony in Gemur'D'Ga, there other Brandishers, more knowing than Gran, will help with him." Gran suddenly said from under her breath, this surprised Samiel as the ceremony at Gemur'D'Ga was several cycles away and outsiders were not so easily welcome amongst the campsites of the visiting tribes. Samiel's respect would only allow certain actions so far as they did not really endanger the tribes and the Elders, but Gran Irisia had always been more knowing than Samiel was and more knowing than what anyone else could tell.
"Jah'Ran, how would you like to journey with us for a time?" Samiel said to a happy Jah'Ran.
