respect from everyone who would cross his path. His bellowing voice would shake the people who stood in his way to the very core. Rich was used to this however, and could seemingly ignore his Father's bellows.
"Why don't you come on back inside kiddo, I have more work for ya before you're done for the day." Rich's Father said to him and messed up his hair. As Rich begrundgingly turned and walked away, his mind was still standing there in place, watching the airship sail off into the neon orange sky.
***************

Rich woke with a start. His arm head regained the feeling, though his migraine had only intensified. He was lying flat on his face on the still-beautifully polished floor.
He reached around for the Deadringer, his faithful hand cannon, but only groped empty air. His palm pistol he usually kept instead of a pocket watch was missing as well, along with his home-made set of goggles.
"So, you're finally awake."
"Huh?" Rich blinked and looked around the dark room, trying to find at least a dim outline of someone else in the room.
"D'mitri? Is that you?"
"Yeah kid, it's me. Been a long time huh?" The voice was rough, and echoed from all directions, and yet soothing in some strange way.
"Where have you been D'mitri? Do you have any idea what's been happeni-?" Rich whispered, staring into his reflection on the floor.
"What do you mean punk? You know where I've been, I can't exactly go anywhere." D'mitri cut him off. "I'm in your head, you think I can just waltz in and out man? Yeah. I know what's been going on."
"If you knew what was happening, why didn't you help me D'mitri? You could have shielded me, you could have given me advice like you used to. You could have done a million things to give me a hand, but you sat on your ass." Rich said, starting to stand up.
"Easy there Tiger, you're looking a little wobbly. I just came back, get a concussion now and I'll be on vacation again."
"Smart ass. Why did you leave anyways D'mitri?"
Suddenly the marble doors flew open and off their hinges, slamming to the ground and shaking the floor with it. Men in gasmasks and heavy black overcoats came flooding two at a time from the newly opened entryway.
