How does one lose their inhibition and freely, without fear, express themselves? The process of writing, when one is not accustomed, is very daunting. The tendency is to see the writing as if being read by a reader and judged. That can cause one to think and rethink. And that is not good. It's hard to write as if one is speaking. That is because speaking is fundamentally different. Speaking doesn't leave a trail. It doesn't persist on paper, or a hard drive, or the cloud.
Why not write about something that is not your focus? Most people focus on themselves. They start writing with 'I'. It's about oneself mostly. If you were to ask a random person what is on their mind, it'd be something about themselves. And naturally so. So let's not write about me. I am just trying to fill this damn page, and not feel bad about how I am so lousy at it. Here you go--talking 'me' again.
