Will he come home tonight? My son has yet to come home. Where could he be? [paces] [frown.] Collin, where are you boy? The rest of the family's gone to sleep. So's my husband, But I don't want him to share in my worry, unless he absolutely needs to. [pace][Hears a creak.] Collin? No, must have been a tree or something. What if he doesn't come home? Oh Collin, you're going to be the death of me. I can feel it already. [shakes head] He should have been back hours ago, he's never out this late. What could be keeping him? What if it's a girl? I swear if it is-that boy won't ever see the light of day again. But what if he's. . No, I won't think that. [sigh] Oh look at me. contemplating the worse and the most trivial within the same breath. [door opens]Collin Jacob! Where have you been?! Do you know how worried i've been? [sigh] I'm just glad you're okay. Don't do that to me again, my old heart can only take so much.
