Worry
'Will he come home tonight?' She thought to herself. Her son had yet to come home, 'Where could he be?' She paced around the living-room, running her hands through her short grey streaked hair. It used to be a pretty dark brown, still was, just older. She stopped and studied her reflection in the hall mirror. She had a few more pounds nowadays, but her figure still shown through. Her green eyes had laugh lines, as did the rest of her worn face. She frowned.

"Collin," she sighed, "Where are you boy?" The rest of the family had gone to sleep. So had her husband, she didn't want him to share in her worry unless he absolutely needed to. She turned her well curved hips to the window, the rest of her followed. Again she paced. She heard a small creak. "Collin?" She gasped and rand to the back door. But it remained tightly shut. She rand back to the front door, not leting herself lose hope. Again it wasn't him.

"Must have been a tree or something" she whispered. She went back into the living room and sat on the couch. Biting her finger nails to ward of the great onset of anxiety. She heard the back door open and shut quietly. This time she knew she wasn't hallucinating. She raised herself up and ran back to the door.

There he stood, his tall frame silhouetted against the moonlight.
"Collin Jacob." She seethed, "Where in the lords name have you been?" She cried, near hysterics. He turned to face her, his face weary.

"Just out mom, it's only eleven thirty" He then continued to the stairway, but stopped when his mother started to speak again, he did not face her though.

"Just out? Just out! You're usually home by ten thirty at the latest. And alls you have to say for yourself is that you were <I>just out?</I>" She paused to catch her breath and calme herself. "Do you realize how worried have been? I didn't know if you were okay, or alive-"

"Don't you think that's a bit dramatic mom?" He said, cutting her off.

"Not when it's my baby boy out at all hours of the night with out notice!"
