My obituary
I felt alive in her prescence. Her infectious laugh made me forget my sorrows. She bestowed on me her life lessons generously knowing well i would use the lessons that befitted my situation. She read voraciously . Everywhere she went there were books. In her bathroom , her bedroom, her study, everywhere and she applied what she read

She refused to let stereotypes hold her back and constantly broke barriers. When she fell in love she did so completely and she let it permeate all the facets of her life. She refused to take it for granted and she and her husband always seemed to have never left their honeymoon. They were enamored by each other and thanked God constantly for the gift of their three children.

She was always in either of two states : teaching or learning. She never forgot what a gift education was. At 30 she became a master programmer constantly declaring "you are what you say you are" after reading Steven Pressfields book despite the fact that she had only practised for a year

She took up the art of writing and constantly read classics by all the great classical writers Charles Dickens , Jane Austen , Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Perhaps her little secret was that she kept reading Pride and Prejudice over and over again because it reminded her of her upbringing. SHe had four sisters she loved dearly. She could not handle horrors in book or film form . She was too sensitive for that.

She could not stand anything mediocre and her constant improvements drove everyone around her crazy but there were often pleased with the final results. She often offended authority ( even without meaning to do so ) because she did not always believe in towing the line.

She loved her children dearly. She would have died for them. She instilled the love of life long learning in them because she believed this was the secret to success in life. She loved God and refused to compromise her values because she considered God her friend and savior

Though she had many material gifts she gave them their right place. She always believed that our duty was to take care of the essential and God would take care of the material and he never dissapointed her. If she was happy she prayed , if she was sad she prayed , if her faith faltered she prayed , if life was going her way she prayed.
God was her beginning and her end.
