There was still a voice in her head that told her "they don't".

It was the same one that encouraged her during times like this. Silky smooth with a caramel crunch, Morgan took comfort in it even when it tossed her down a flight of stairs. Normally, one would complain about such things. But she hadn't. No one knew of the conversations they had. Not even her father. With good reason of course, because Morgan was ninety percent sure she knew who it belonged to.

It belonged to her mother.

Now, now It cooed as if it was by Morgan's side. As if she was right there, rubbing the chill bumps from her daughter's arms in an attempt to comfort her. She looked up at the dark abyss that surrounded her. Somewhere between her and the cieling, there floated...something. Morgan squinted. Something silvery white swirled around in the pitch dark like a cloud, only shimmering.
