most part think like me are obsessed with hating an idea. An intangible construct of the human mind. They hate western society to the core of their being. They hate our interventionism. They hate our decadence. Most of all they hate that we aren't Muslim.
Now from what I gather, I am associated with a rather extreme group of Muslims that the general Muslim community disagrees with. At least from the outside looking in. According to the inmates that will talk to me, it's a different story. They say that the ideas of Al-Quiada are believed and enforced throughout the world. I tend to believe them.

The law is never in the interest of helping anyone. The purpose of the law is to deliver faceless and emotionless judgment upon society in order to provide the illusion of order. Actually helping people doesn't even enter the equation.
"I'm here to see Mohammad Mohammad #127489."
"He is in isolation," the clerk responds with the same answer I have heard since I started working Mohammad's case.
"Mark. Today is the day I decided to not give a shit about bureaucracy," the anger in my voice is nearly tangible. "I, as a citizen of the United States of America and a lawyer licensed to practice therein have been charged with the legal defense of Mohammad Mohammad. You are obliged to provide me with access to him immediately."
"Dave, I know you want to see him, but he has to be charged with a crime in order to need a lawyer. He is being held here under the patriot act and has not been charged with anything." I wish that once, just once, I could get an 'off-script' answer from the agents that work here.
"Okay Mark, I will be back again next week so that we can have this conversation again."
"I don't see why you even bother," Mark says under his breath as he returns to whatever busy-work was occupying him when I arrived.
The real problem is not weather Mohammad is guilty or not. The video surveillance tapes show Mohammad arriving at the site of the explosion then immediately losing consciousness, mere moments before the detonation. The only explanation anyone has been able to offer is that he was drugged, led to the site, and then tranquilized somehow upon his arrival. His lack of memory
