He says,"Dude I think I'm still trippin' right now."
We call him Curly here in the dorm. I think he's my age...maybe younger. Big guy, taller than me and I'm 5 foot 11 inches, broad, and it looks like he's been able to pull off 5 o'clock shadow since 5th grade, I think his real name is Andrew.
"I ate the shrooms at midnight", he says.
"Don't you come into the trip about an hour after you eat em'?"
"Yeah but it feels like that was six hours ago" he replies.
"Well its almost three now bud."
"Yeeaahhh...I'm not gonna sleep for awhile then I guess"
"Doesn't look like it bud"
I'm gonna go out for a smoke then."

It's the night before exam week here at East Carolina, and living up to our reputation, quite a few people are out tonight. I live in the West End neighborhood of the campus and we're backed right up to the downtown area on 5th street in Greenville North Carolina. Which means I'm at an advantage when it comes to watching all the drunk, underage colleges students stumble back up the hill to their respective dorms. If I haven't been drinking that night it's the highlight of my bored, sober evening. One of this nights drunken escapades included a drunk kid getting his foot run over by a guy pulling out of a parking space right by my dorm. He then proceeded to lie down under a tree. His friend had to physically lift him off the ground to get him back on their trek to the next night club, keggar, or whatever they may be off to.
I'm bored now, sitting in the lobby of my dorm, drowning out the griding incessant noise of some annoying ass infomercial with Fleet Foxes and MGMT from my iTunes.
Tomorrow...who knows...probably the same thing. Monotony really bothers me.
Thats all I've got for tonight. Nothing else. Sorry to disappoint.
