I'm not scared of death. I just don't know it. I'm disinterested in it as much as I am with the life of the strangers on the street-- until someone presents death like an old friend, in a book, or a movie, or a story. Then it scares me how close it becomes, like a lover that whispers hot breath in your ear and trails a finger over the tendons on top of your hand.
