Seeking the Quaker way. Worship is silence before the Light that is in the world. How can one prepare for that? How is one to spend time in silence if one has spent time in a clamorous heart. I have a loved one that suffers from my too clamorous heart. I do not want to hurt him with my problems. I need to seek the Light and hold my loved one in love and care. I need to learn some humility and keep my pride in check. For the time after we marry and I attend Quaker meetings with him, I also need to keep before my mind the concept that religion cannot be about hierarchy at all. We are all on equal footing when it comes to faith. Listen to no one but one's self first. "To thine own self be true."
