3. Life online is a lonely life
but it is more filled with people than
the other parts of my life.
Sure, I have friends, family
but I'm not always sure they get me
you know?
Online, there are all these people
that understand
what it is like to not want to turn off the computer.
Online there are all these communities
of like minded people
that are as obsessed with building
websites and making money
as I am.
I think my friends and family think I am
a little bit weird
because I can spend days on my computer
never picking up the phone,
never stepping out the door,
and not even blink an eye.
I think my friends and family resent
my online life a little bit
But they don't really get
how much satisfaction I get from seeing
the traffic pour into a new site
getting comments on a new blog
getting reviews on a new story.
Life online can be lonely
but they get me.
