Five Stages of Love
Love is the end product, of misery, dieting, hapiness, angst and fun. Sometime's the process starts with one person but then it turns out they where mearly happiness, soon enought that phase it over and you find yourself adressing angst. Cathleen Richardson knew all about the five stages of love, she should do, it was her after all who coined the theroy.
Each one of a persons love, and there are many different type, although that will be adressed later, are the product of the five stages. Cathleen knew exactly where she was on the five stages, she was at stage two - dieting.
Stage one had been a boy called Alex, he'd been sixth foot massive, a brown haired joker from east devon who she'd met on hoilday and promptly after meeting him, she'd found him macking out with another girl.
Stage two was in the pursit of a Man called Ryan, Ryan worked at the local sports center as a life gaurd, the dieting was so Cathleeen could walk past him without having to suck in her stomach and hide it behind her arms. She supposed it was her own stupid fault though for falling in lust with a sports buff.
Cathleen peddled down the road in the sunset, the arm warm as the last of the day bled away. She'd was on her way home from school, after a minor few hour detore at her friends house then the gym.
But back to the five stages.
Cathleen reasoned that after Dieting, comes happiness in the form of the reward for all your hard work, the subject of your affections. She often wished that there were onl three stages of love, but after happiness comes Angst.
Angst was when you started to worry about wether he really liked you or was his eyes and mind wandering, it was common, in an attempt to combact this, for you to relapse into dieting and have to repeat to steps, or sometimes the relationship broke down. If you survied Angst fun followed.
Fun is where you stop caring about what the other person thinks, fun is the when bed head and morning face was nothing something you strived to disguse and hide. Cathleen herself had never quite reached fun, Angst had always clung onto her, but she knew plenty of friends who were curently enjoying the fun stage. And of course after fun followed final love.
The final destination after the five stages was a little hazier for Cathleen but from what she had seen, love was either being able to put up wit someones rubbish and still want to climb into bed with them, or it was just a great excuse to bicker. She hoped it was the first one.The second option sounded stupid and petty.
