the day was dark, it wasn't like the days were not dark before. in fact the day's normally were dark, like every Gothic Fairytale starts. This however is not one of those stories were your dark mood will come and go. It will linger in all the writing. it will haunt your whole body. This is not a normal day haunting high school. This is a day where actually High school was not haunting. Epherem was just seventeen when he stepped into that high school for the first time. A girl came up to him and smiled "Epherem Gale?" she asked he nodded "Um...Yeah, that's me..." she smiled "I'm Sally Yale" she said and extended her hand. Epherem looked at her unsure that he really wanted to take her hand. He chose to take her hand anyways. "Epherem...but I guess you already...knew...that" Sally smiled. She seemed to understand that he was nervous.
Epherem had always been known to be shy. he was just not that kind of person to speak out, and let his voice be heard. Sally must have known this because she didn't ask him many questions. when they were walking though the school all she did was point out his classes to him though his schedule and said hi to her friends. Some girl that looked like a Gothic Rag-Doll with her striped tights, long dress with fishnet rips. Her make-up made her look like she was a walking dead person; the only thing that made her look human was her braces with black plastic in them. The girl took a step towards him. As he looked closer he noticed that he reconized her. "Um..." he started out "Epherem, is that you?" he nodded "Oh um...hi Karin..." Karin beamed at him "Wow, still the shy guy hu? Sally back of you preppy-prep." Sally looked offended, even more angry as Karin looped her arm around Epherem's and dragged him off. Karin laughed slightly "Free at last hu? isn't she annoying? no wonder you had no idea what to do."
Epherem looked at her "K...Karin...What are you doing?" Karin smiled "Well, for one getting you away from Sally, Saving your life!" her arms spread out wide almost hitting Epherem's face, but he was not going to rain on her paraide. Sally came up behind them "You! Goth-Girl!" she hissed Epherem turned in time to see Sally's claws/ nails come towards Karin. He pushed Karin down out of instinct and grabbed Sally's hand "You need to CALM DOWN!" he yelled. Sally backed down, "You! how can you be so...so protective of this stupid girl!" Epherem felt a growl rise in his throat "This is my friend. I will protect my friends: you-Back away. Now." Sally looked offended and then stomped out. Karin looked at Epherem in surprise "Wow, Eph...I didn't know you had that kind of growl in you...."
he shook his head "She was ann...annoying." he said and looked at her Karin laughed and hugged his arm "Come on silly," they walked to class in silence. it was normal, Karin and Epherem were normally known to act out of their comfort zones. Karin was his comfort and his mentor when he was having a hard time. they were each others standing stones. Karin was known for being out there, she was someone that was not afraid to say what was on her mind, someone would call her Bipolar. she had the temper of a three year old. she could one minute be tired the next be in tears and then after that be mad as a hatter over something. it was just who she was, it was who she always was going to be.
