I covered my eyes slightly with my arm and blinked a few times. This light was far brighter than i ever expected any light to be.
The girl, who must have looked over at me giggled. "Yeah, it does that, but you'll get used to it. May take a while tho."
I lowered my arm and squinted in the direction her voice had come from. I saw a smile on her face. Not a very big one, but it was a smile. For some reason it made me feel happy.
"Stop using your funky mind techniques on the poor dear Ami." Came a loud voice from my other side that i recognized as Jezmine's.
Ami's smile disappeared almost instantaneously, her eyes glared at Jezmine. She spun on her heel and walked away.
This place is weird, i thought to myself, maybe, just maybe I'll find out what is going on here.
Jezmine turned to me, "And now the tour begins!" She beamed at me. Grabbing my hand she dragged me off and then, all of a sudden, stopped dead in her tracks. "Evita, It's been bugging me, so i really have to tell you." Jez looked deep into my eyes and a soft shiver ran down my spin. "We're magic. There I said it. All of us here, we're all magic. All of us have at least one special power. Those people who came to your house and killed your parent, they were looking for you. You're very special Evite, possibly the only one like you, possible the most precious person in the world."
