今日はAmazonで買った鏡の水垢クリーナが届く。 風呂場の大きな鏡全面に、うろこ状のスケール（水垢）が出来ていて、入浴時に髭を剃る私にとってはこれが非常に邪魔。 そうでなくとも鏡がピカピカでないというのは、気持ちの良いものではない。 今回発注したのは物理的に削り取るタイプのものではなく、化学的に溶かすタイプだそうだ。 なんでもこのスケール、ガラスのケイ素と水道水中のケイ素ががっちり結合して出来てしまうものらしい。 したがってもっとも効果的な予防は「濡らさない」こと。 とは言っても風呂場の鏡にそれは無理な注文であるので、風呂上りに十分に水分を拭き取ったり、皮膜コーティング剤を塗布してガラス面と水道水の接触を断つことがが現実的な方法なんだとか。 幸い私の家には、自動車用の皮膜コーティング剤が余っているので、スケールを処理したあとに塗っておこう。 余談だが私は車もバイクも持っていない。 この皮膜コーティング剤は、スマートフォンのタッチパネルに指紋が付きにくくするために購入したもの。 汚れの付着を防いでくれるので、応用してAV機器などの液体が浸透しない表面を持つ家具全般に使用して重宝している。 ただし、いかにも石油系合成物質です！という匂いが苦手な人も多かろうと思われる。 帰宅すると宅配Boxに水垢クリーナが届いていた。 女性が２～３日の小旅行に化粧水を入れて持っていくような、そんな小さな容器に入っている。 これで2000円。承知のうえで購入したとは言え、やはり高すぎる。 今日は残業で遅い帰宅となったため、明日以降、使ってみようと思う。 read more -
